Ok, enough about the Diamondbacks, it looks like their season will be over soon. I want to talk about my favorite sport’s team the Phoenix Suns. They have made many off-season moves and many people (particularly those at ESPN) aren’t giving them much kudos for what the Suns have done. In this link: predictions ESPN has the Suns finishing in 6th place with a 47-35 record. Are you kidding me? 47-35? That is absurd and the Suns will prove all skeptics wrong by blowing that record out of the water.

Let me tell you why the Suns are a better team going into this year than they have been the last few years. We will start with their former coach Mike D’Antoni . Great guy, great coach, but his run and gun style of play couldn’t get them a championship. We now have Terry Porter who will bring a more defensive emphasis to get them over the hump. Who says that this will ruin their fast offense? I don’t.

To back up Porter with good defense the Suns drafted Robin Lopez from Stanford who is known for his defense. Can you imagine what having Lopez and Shaq in the key will do for Amare on the offensive end? Amare will be able to do whatever he wants because a smaller guy will have to guard him!

Next, let’s go to Matt Barnes. Can you say attitude? This guy brings so much attitude and spunk to the team. When the Suns need a boost, all they will have to do put in Barnes and Raja Bell to give them a spark.

Now, the only thing missing is a backup guard for Steve Nash. Enter Gordon Dragic. Who is this guy? Well he is a point guard from the European league who is known for his speed. With Steve Nash as his mentor, who knows what he might be capable of in the future?

I predict the Suns to finish at least finish fourth in the Western Conference. I’d pick higher but the Suns are getting old and I think they will save a lot of their energy for the playoffs. I also think they will be a stronger playoff team and will have the potential to win it all. I am looking forward to this season and I am becoming restless.

Well, in my last post I talked about how the Arizona Diamondbacks came up with a huge win and were sitting well going into the three game series against the Dodgers. I also praised them for picking up Adam Dunn and David Eckstein.

Well, I am a man and I am not afraid to admit my mistakes. Apparently the D-Backs were not sitting well going into the series Dodgers. They got swept! That’s right, they lost all three games. Not only did they lose but they lost the first place spot they have had in the National League West since April! Not to mention they are losing to the Giants right now 2-1 and if they lose this game they will be swept by them as well, and they are one of the worst teams in the majors!

Adam Dunn has not helped out the team except for getting walked every so often and hitting a few homeruns that didn’t help because the game was already over. Dunn is not the only person on the Diamondbacks to blame. What is wrong with our pitching staff? At first, the problem only lied with our bullpens, but now our starters are getting roughed around. Dan Haren, Brandon Webb and Randy Johnson are some of the marquee pitchers of the league. All three of them have lost their last three starts. That is unheard of.

Right now the D-Backs are 2 1/2 games behind the Dodgers for first place and it looks they are about to lose the game they are playing now to be down 3 games. They season is reaching the finish line. If the D-backs want any chance of making the playoffs they better make a move now!

The Arizona Diamondbacks had a huge win today to beat the St Louis Cardinals. It was a must win. They have lost eight of their last eleven games and the Dodgers have been crawling back to compete for the number one seed.

Game Recap

I think the D-Backs made some good moves by picking up Adam Dunn (who has proven to be pretty clutch in big plays) and now David Eckstein (to replace the injured Orlando Hudson). Not only was Hudson my favorite player, but he was one of our must vital and uplifting offensive player. Eckstein has some huge shoes to fill.

Right now, I think the Diamondbacks are sitting in a pretty comfortable two game lead in the NL West (will be 1.5 or 2.5 depending on the outcome of the Dodgers game that is going on right now. Right now they are winning 5-4 in the top of the 7th inning against the Padres). The D-backs have a huge series coming up against the Dodgers starting Friday in L.A. I expect them to win at least two out of three because we have our three best pitchers in Haren, Webb and Johnson projected to pitch in those three games.

My biggest worry about winning the division, and frankly has been my biggest worry all year, is our bullpen. We are tied with the St. Louis Cardinals for blowing 15 games this season when leading after six innings. Hopefully, the D-Backs muster up some more magic and acquire a good closer for us to finish the season strong.

I am looking forward to this weekend’s series against the Dodgers. Go D-Backs!!!!!

Hi everyone. This is my first blog post. In my posts I will be talking about three main Arizona sports teams: The Phoenix Suns, The Arizona Diamondbacks and The Arizona Cardinals. However, you also may see me post blogs about college sports and maybe even high school sports.

I will talk about news and also my opinion of a game, a trade or the direction a team is going, etc. You might not always like my opinion because I get straight to the point. If I don’t think a team is good, I am going to let it be known. If I don’t think the outlook is good I will say so. Just because they are my favorite teams doesn’t mean I wont criticize them. For example, Shaq is one of my favorite NBA players, but I believe he was stupid to do that rap about Kobe Bryant bringing their old beef back into the spotlight.

Shaq Dissing Kobe

I get most of my news from main websites such as espn.com , foxsports.com , suns.com , azcardinals.com , azdiamondbacks.com , and cbssports.com . There are other sites too, but these are my primary sites.
